Embossing Goosanders in flight

At my temporary local patch  which consists of a Canal, Tidal River, Fishing ponds, Marsh Area and Farmland, There is no doubt there are quite a few waterfowl around. I have been recording up to 12 Goosanders which is a type of sawbill (Duck). Larger then your average Mallard and quite streamlined which seems to have a long neck and bill in flight. Today I was able to photograph a silhouette of a pair in flight at dusk.  With Photoshop CS5, I managed to create and design a simple picture using the embossing filter which was the first time I have put it to the test.
I am very happy with the way it has turned out.

For web purposes only, I have downsized, reduced the quality and watermarked.

Patterns in Nature - The Drought

Just weeks into the summer, the climate becomes hot and dry in Africa. Water becomes hard to find as dried up river beds play a part in natures patterns. The ground shouts out as you walk across the cracked earth crust, sending you into a experience where creativity keeps your mind open to the harsh reality which third world countries face.
